Vision

SICED serves as a lead agency for human resource development at international standard level.


Mission

  1. Providing capacity development for NFE personnel of ONIE
  2. Providing capacity development for NFE personnel and educators from foreign countries
  3. Providing continuing education for the public
  4. Promoting and providing informal education through "Chalermrajgumari Public Library" and other appropriate modalities.
  5. Undertaking research study on HRD

Brief Histroy

Sirindhorn Institute for Continuing Education and Development (SICED) located among the rolling hills of Pakchong District in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Department of Non-Formal Education (DNFE) in collaboration with SAVITA Foundation jointly established the Institute to cerebrate Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's third-cycle birthday. The central theme of the Institute was an emphasis on development and continuing education for adults. Two other themes were the promotion of environmental awareness and the role of women in all aspects of the development process.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Institute on the eighth of September 1992.

  2. Training and study visit programmes for Thai NFE personnel focusing on CLC development and other lifelong learning activities
