Margaret Josephs claims she would quit RHONJ if Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas returned for another season. She also discusses season 15 casting rumors and news.
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs appeared on the October 3 episode of her co-star and bestie Melissa Gorga’s On Display podcast.
On the podcast, the two RHONJ stars discussed rumors about season 15. At the same time, Margaret Josephs revealed that she would leave the show if Bravo brought Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas back for another season.
“I just wouldn’t [come back],” Margaret explained. “I just have to protect my family, and I cannot put myself in that position, and I think it would be dangerous for myself and my family.”
Melissa Gorga then confessed that the RHONJ cast has “no answers” about the franchise’s future.
“We know absolutely nothing,” Margaret Josephs confirmed.
“We don’t know when we’re going back to filming. We’re just on a break. We’re on a much-needed break,” she added. “We don’t know anyone who’s coming back. We don’t know what’s happening.”
The two Bravolebs also agreed that the ongoing discussions about what could happen for season 15 of RHONJ are “like beating a dead horse.”
“I think we all need to just sit back, see what happens, and when it does happen, we all need to accept whatever it is,” Melissa admitted.
“Exactly,” Margaret said in agreement. “Whatever happens is what’s meant to be, and I think we’re fine with it.”
Margaret adds that she has conflicting theories about what Bravo will do for season 15 of RHONJ, including who may come and who may go.
“One day I think they might just be like ‘We’re sick of all these broads in general, let’s just get all new people. ‘ But I think people are invested in us and invested in our lives. I don’t know. We still had good ratings. I change my mind every day,” the 57-year-old shared.
“I don’t wish bad on anybody. Even the people I can’t stomach, I don’t want something bad to happen to them. I really don’t. I don’t want to see anyone lose money. As much as I can’t tolerate and don’t want to be around them, I don’t want anything bad to happen … I don’t want to see them anymore but I don’t want to see the demise of them,” she continued.
Melissa added that she believed the New Jersey Housewives franchise was “killing it” and had “pretty amazing” ratings before Bravo put them on pause ahead of season 15.
“We were doing a really good job. I feel like there could still be a lot of show left. I feel like they could recast and still make a great show, but there’s also another part that makes me feel like, listen, there’s a lot of years we’ve been doing this, and sometimes it is good to elevate and try new things, and go another way,” the 47-year-old explained.
Real Housewives of New Jersey isn’t expected to return for season 15 until late 2025 or early 2026.
