Sabrina Carpenter set the internet alight this week with her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, AND her latest music video, “Taste” starring Jenna Ortega (check out what all the hype is about here!) – but did you know she’s also doing a bunch of good behind-the-scenes too?
According to nonprofit PLUS1, the fund Sabrina started alongside her upcoming (and sold-out) Short n’ Sweet tour, has raised nearly US$600,000 for organisations supporting meaningful causes:
“I am deeply passionate about supporting causes that are close to my heart, including mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare. It is incredible rewarding to see the impact that The Sabrina Carpenter Fund is already making and I am grateful to my fans for their unwavering support,” Sabrina said in a statement posted online.
The organisations Sabrina’s fund is supporting so far include The Jed Foundation, a suicide prevention nonprofit, Best Friends Animal Society which works with shelters and animal rescue groups, and the LGBT National Help Centre which provides crisis prevention support to the LGBTQ+ community through helplines, online programs and one-on-one support. She’s due to support more grassroots organisations on the European leg of her tour too.
Speaking of which, the Short n’ Sweet tour is due to kick off on September 23 in Ohio and will end in Italy in March, 2025.

Now if you haven’t seen the wildly creative music video for “Taste” yet, let me tell you, you’re in for a gory treat. The three-minute clip is directed by Dave Meyers and is a darkly comic take on two women (played by Sabrina and Jenna) taking revenge on one another before coming together as evil besties! The video references some classic horror films of the past including Death Becomes Her, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Ginger Snaps, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Addams Family Values. Check it out below:
