Justin Baldoni is officially weighing in on whether we’ll ever see more seasons of Jane the Virgin – and there may be a glimmer of hope! A very teeny, tiny one. But it’s there.
You see, it’s been five years since Jane Gloria Villanueva, Rafael Solano and the beloved characters left our screens – and *in best dramatic voice* our lives. The possibility of a revival, sequel or continuation has been a most certain “no” given the fate of the villainous Sin Rostro and the delightfully telenovela ending.
But then Justin posted a series of behind-the-scenes cast photos on Instagram in August, recalling the great times they had together. He captioned it: “I’ve been thinking… what if Sin Rostro isn’t really dead after all?”
So of course we were not gonna let that one slide.
Speaking to CelebrityKind, Justin addressed the post, saying he’s open to more Jane The Virgin, if – and it’s a very big if – there’s a demand for it:
“It was just for fun, but I was texting with Jennie (Snyder Urman) the show creator, and we were joking around about it. Maybe she’s got an idea. Maybe Sin Rostro isn’t dead. I know it could be something fun to explore one day.”
He continued, “so, it was really more in jest, but you never know, It’s a telenovela. Look, if there was an uprising, a demand, you never know. We’ll see. I’m open to it.”

The series, which also stars Gina Rodriguez, Jaime Camil, Brett Dier, Andrea Navedo and Yael Grobglas aired for five seasons on Netflix from 2014 to 2019. It won a host of awards during that time including the 2014 People’s Choice Award for Favourite New Comedy, a Best Actress Golden Globe for Gina Rodriguez, and a Teen Choice Comedy Actor award for Jaime Camil.
And now that we know Justin is open to more Jane the Virgin, I think we all know what we need to do people:
Let the uprising begin!
